ATO is on the Move!!!
Literally and figuratively the Michigan State University Chapter of Alpha Tau Omega is on the move. The ATO MSU Housing Corporation recently signed a three- year lease with very favorable terms, and an option-to-buy, the Alpha XI Delta chapter house located on 251West Grand River. On August 1st, 2003, 24 brothers moved into their new home. The AZD house prime location and more traditional Fraternity house architecture and design made it a very attractive choice for the ATOs of Michigan State. The new house is located on the South side of Grand River just past the Michigan Avenue split It is the newest Greek house on campus and is in excellent condition. The facility is a three-story structure. The two top floors have 5 large double rooms and 2 singles each plus large community bathrooms. The first floor has 3 single rooms and a guest lavatory room. The first floor also has a commercial kitchen and two big main rooms. One of the main rooms will serve as the TV, living, and dining room. The other the main room will be the new pool room and trophy room. The basement is one main room that will be used mostly as a meeting room and storage.
Our previous location, 520 Linden, served us well over the last two decades and was the place where many lifelong friendships were made. Although countless, fond, sentimental memories and traditions were formed at 520, it became time to make a move to a newer, more traditional house in a great location. The Actives have enthusiastically endorsed this move and are very excited about their new home. This is the dawn of a new era for ATO and 251 West GR will be the domicile of future friendships, traditions, and the launchpad for even greater success of ATO at MSU.
Our Chapter has grown significantly in size, stature, and strength in the last several years and the future looks even brighter. 251 Grand River is a large handsome structure. It is in-sight of, and is reminiscent of the majesty of our original and beloved 451 Evergreen chapter home. We hope many alumni will visit the new home of ATO this Fall.

Excellence Award in Campus Involvement
The Epsilon Eta chapter was awarded the Excellence Award for Campus Involvement, for the 2001-02 school year. These excellence awards are given out to chapters by the National Headquarters (NHQ) of Alpha Tau Omega that excel in certain areas that NHQ feels are important on a college campus. The award shows that NHQ recognizes the chapter involvement in such activities as IFC, Student Government, and Honorary Societies. Epsilon Eta is one of only a handful of chapters who received an excellence award for Campus Involvement. The chapter has showed great improvement over the past couple of years and hopefully will continue success in this area and more.
